The statue of the Marian column in the basilica of Mariazell, Austria.
The statue dates from the early 16th century and is one of three miraculous images of Mary venerated in the basilica. The statue is referred to as the Pilgrim Madonna as the column on which it stands used to be covered in votive offerings left by pilgrims.

The image of the Mother of Light depicts Mary rescuing a young man from an attack by a demon.
On her left arm she carries Jesus, who is offered burning hearts. These symbolise souls in need of redemption.

The miraculous image of Mary in the basilica of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart in Sittard, the Netherlands.
The church was built in the late 19th century and has drawn pilgrims ever since. It is home to the Dutch branch of the archconfraternity of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, which was founded in France in 1864.

The miraculous image of Mary venerated in the basilica of St Matthias (Matthew) in Trier, Germany.
The official name of the image is Seat of Wisdom, a Marian title from the Litany of Loreto. The painting was inspired by the icon of the Madonna Salus Populi Romani in Rome, which is considered a true portrait of Mary.
